Position Summary  The Recovery Team Leader serves as a lead operational resource for Recovery Coordinators, providing hands-on support with intake coordination and key processes, including prior authorizations, continued stay reviews, and discharge documentation. This role promotes consistency and timeliness across programs, supports staff through on-the-job guidance and training, monitors workflows and timelines, and escalates operational or documentation-related concerns to the Clinical Business Manager. The Recovery Team Leader may provide operational coverage and continuity support when the Clinical Business Manager is unavailable, ensuring the ongoing flow of intake, utilization review, and documentation processes.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential functions include but are not limited to the following: * Serve as a lead resource for Recovery Coordinators by providing guidance and support related to intake, utilization review, and documentation workflows. * Support consistent, high-quality client intake, including prescreening, insurance verification, call tracking, and coordination of transportation and resource referrals. * Monitor authorization, continued stay, and discharge timelines to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance, escalating issues as needed. * Facilitate informal team huddles or process check-ins to reinforce best practices and effective communication. * Act as a point of escalation for complex client or documentation-related concerns. * Collaborate with Detox, Program, Clinical, and administrative teams to support standardized workflows and accurate information flow. * Serve as a subject-matter resource for Recovery Coordinators by providing training and guidance on procedures, electronic health record documentation, and confidentiality standards. * Promote a culture of empathy, respect, and client advocacy. * Oversee accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, including tracking calls, insurance verifications, authorizations, and resources provided. * Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, including confidentiality and data protection requirements. * Prepare and review reports as needed for internal and external stakeholders (e.g., insurance providers and partner agencies). * Support community engagement and awareness efforts in collaboration with Development and Programs teams. * Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities. * Perform additional administrative and client-related duties as assigned.   Qualifications / Requirements * High School Diploma or Equivalency required * Ability to obtain CPR certification within three (3) months of hire * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook * Experience working with electronic health records or similar systems * Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality * Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment   Compensation * Hourly Rate: $19.00 per hour * This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws.
