Job Details Level: Experienced Job Location: Layfair MSCC Campus - Flowood, MS 39232 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Job Shift: Day Methodist Specialty Care Center (MSCC), located in Flowood, is Mississippi’s only residential long-term care facility designed especially for younger, severely disabled persons. About the Job Will assist in planning and directing therapeutic recreation services to ensure the achievement of goals and objectives within the department and long term care guidelines Will assist in creating and handling the logistics for daily, weekly, and monthly events in an effort to engage residents Responsible for assisting in resident evaluation, makes recommendations in conjunction with other team members, resident, and caregiver Responsible for demonstrating time management skills, able to prioritize work, and organize tasks and activities Responsible for assisting with transportation and the safety or residents to and from community events and other appropriate outings Responsible for maximizing direct resident care services Maintains current and accurate records of participation Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Therapeutic Recreation Degree (or related field) preferred Previous Therapeutic Recreation Assistant and/or Long Term care experience preferred We Offer Competitive pay A comprehensive, flexible, benefit package to all full-time employees (32 hours plus per week) Medical and dental coverage beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment 403b Retirement Life insurance
