Description Responsibilities: - Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing activities and programs for residents in an assisted living facility. - Provide support and assistance to residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed. - Engage residents in recreational therapy and social activities to promote their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. - Collaborate with the activity director and other staff members to develop and implement a variety of engaging programs and events. - Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress in activities. - Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a sense of community and belonging. - Assist with transportation of residents to off-site activities or appointments as necessary. Requirements Requirements: - Experience or knowledge in aging issues counseling, social work, or senior care is preferred. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members. - Familiarity with assisted living or memory care environments is a plus. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure smooth coordination of activities. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required. - Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with older adults. - Must be able to pass a background check according to company policies.
