CV Life are seeking an enthusiastic individual to undertake duties as a Recreation Attendant at Centre AT7.
The ideal candidate for this position will be hardworking, self-motivated, able to show initiative and will work well as part of a team.
Duties include assisting with activity change overs, supporting operational staff, building checks, maintain high standards of cleanliness around wet and dry side facilities, setting up equipment across the centre, and dealing with customer enquiries. The centre has a full and varied activity programme so an ability to prioritise tasks is essential.

The principal place of employment will be Centre AT7 and the successful applicants will be required to work the following shift pattern:

  • Monday 8 am – 5pm
  • Tuesday 8 am – 5 pm
  • Wednesday 12 noon – 4pm
  • Thursday 12 noon – 4pm

Responsibilities

OVERALL PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

To assist the Duty Manager in the daily operation of the Sport Centre’s facilities and activities.

MAIN DUTIES OF THE ROLE:

  • To assist with maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the Centre and its surrounding site at all times. Cleaning would consist of various cleaning duties which entails manual handling tasks.
  • Ensuring that any cleaning materials and chemicals are used in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and stored in the correct manner.
  • To continually refer to booking sheets, and assist with set ups and disassembly of sports equipment (posts, nets, goals etc)
  • To gain experience and obtain governing body qualifications in a range of sports/activities.
  • To provide assistance in aspects of coaching and session delivery.
  • To assist with soft play change overs which consist of apparatus and facility cleaning and set ups and disassembling of soft play equipment.
  • To contribute to the professional development and guidance of Further Education and Work Placement students.
  • To become familiar with the various procedures of reception duties, including all administrative aspects of record keeping and filing.
  • To assist with the re-stocking of vending machines as required.
  • To visit venues outside the Centre as required to promote the activities of the Company.
  • To patrol the building regularly and report any problems/breakages to the Duty Manager.
  • To attend any relevant meetings and forums as required.
  • To assist in emergency situations in accordance with the procedures detailed in the Company’s Health and Safety policy.

  • To undertake other duties as specified, which are appropriate to the qualifications, experience and general level of the post.
