Job Status and Requirements: This is local hire. Must be First Aid & CPR and Lifeguard certified. Service years - Five (5) years of experience in recreational activities in a full-service resort including at least three (3) years in a supervisory or management role. Language - Fluent in English (speaking, listening, reading and writing) Must be able to work on Guam, USA without restrictions:​ US Citizens or US Permanent Residents and Residents of Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) This position is not eligible for Relocation Package. This position is not eligible for to be US Work Visa Sponsor. This is mid-level Management position, $42,000 - $45,000 per annum. What’s the job? As a Recreation Manager, the goal of this position is to design, implement, and lead recreational and leisure activities. Responsible for recreational activities and ensures success of recreation programs. Create and manage schedules for activities and facilities. Promotes the desired work culture around the core values of IHG. Your-day-to-day People Support colleagues to make sure they deliver with compliance and to the standards we expect. Clearly communicate goals and objectives. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Manage daily staff assignments, communicate goals, and ensure compliance of policies and procedures. Manage employee attendance, schedule, compliance and measure efficiencies. Engage team and create a high-performance culture. Responsible for the care, resolution and escalation of employee issues for assigned teams. Cooperates, coordinates and communicates with Department Heads and other inter-departmental secretaries as appropriate. Engage the guest and promote activities. Accountable for tracking recreation statistics. Support team members in their learning and career development. Follow documented policies and procedures and ensure compliance by subordinates. Regularly generate written and oral reports to management. Proactively seek ways to improve existing processes. Be prepared to assume other duties as requested by management. Assess recreation programs based on markets and trends and plan activities accordingly taking into account; costs, participant numbers and equipment/facility use and sustainability. Promote and advertise programs in a fiscally responsible manner. Responsible for maintaining recreation budget including controlling expenses and ensuring efficiency of the team. Develop and/or support incentive programs that involve recreation programs to maximize revenue opportunities. Prepares a cost-effective work schedule. Guest Experience Deliver Crowne Plaza Brand Promise and Service Signatures to daily work. Review market and industry trends and design new, unique and innovative recreational activities. Enhance guest experience by responding timely and accurately to guest requests and/or emergencies. Ensure that team are properly trained and certified for lifeguard duties and CPR response. Ensure that activities are performed in a safe environment using proper safety techniques. Engage the guest and follow up on feedback. Responsible Business Oversee all recreation programs including beachfront, poolside, and fitness center. Lead the implementation of health and safety practices in all recreation areas. Accountable for tracking recreation statistics. Support team members in their learning and career development. Follow documented policies and procedures and ensure compliance by subordinates.
