Be Remarkable.  I seek ways to be extraordinary and deliver a positive impact every day.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities  The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: * Plan, lead, and evaluate recreation programs at The Fort and Bluejack amenities (pools, water slide, courts, playground, lakes)—including member only and family events. * Train and supervise staff; maintain certifications (CPR/First‑Aid, Food Handlers, TABC as needed). * Supervise routine safety inspections of recreation facilities and equipment; ensure compliance with sanitation standards and property guidelines. * Address equipment issues, log maintenance needs, and coordinate repairs. * Monitor usage, enforce Fort rules and intervene in unsafe or disruptive situations. * Serve as a point of contact for families and members; actively promote a welcoming and inclusive environment. * Provide basic first aid and activate emergency protocols; prepare shift summary reports. * Assist in managing program budgets; monitor discretionary supply usage. * Lead setup, staffing, and breakdown of special events at The Fort. * Coordinate cross-departmentally with facilities, hospitality, and maintenance teams to deliver seamless experiences. * Flexibility to support other roles within recreation as business needs dictate. * Collaborate with team members to support smooth opening/closing operations, share shift coverage, and adjust schedules during high‑volume periods or special events. * Engage positively with children, families, and adult members; respond to questions, provide guidance about activities, and contribute to an inclusive, friendly atmosphere. * Assist with the setup, breakdown and service of Fort events as needed. * Additional duties as requested by Bluejack leadership.   Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and meet the driver safety policy requirements. * Prior experience in high-end golf/country club or hospitality industry is a plus. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to work with children of various ages and backgrounds. * Organizational skills to plan and execute activities effectively. * Physical ability to engage in recreational activities and handle equipment. * Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. * Must be able to lift 50 lbs. EDUCATION: High School diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience.   APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS: Weekdays, weekends, and Holidays, schedule flexible as business dictates.   Pay Range This position starts at $18 an hour.   Physical Demands and Work Environment   The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Our property sits on 767 acres and features many indoor and outdoor facilities that make up the work environment.  While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and move around for the entirety or majority of their shift.
