The current pay range is $18.00 per hour to $33.99 per hour. This notice issued by The Sharonville Civil Service Commission John Carlberg, Chair POSITION DESCRIPTION: The City of Sharonville is seeking an energetic, self-directed recreation professional to serve as a Recreation Supervisor. This full-time leadership position works closely with the Assistant Recreation Director to plan, organize, supervise, and manage daily operations of the Fitness Center, Personal Training, and Wellness Programs. Additionally, the Recreation Supervisor will assist in the overall daily operations of the Community Center as a Manager on Duty. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High school diploma or G.E.D.; additional education preferred. 2. Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills. 3. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff, customers, and the public. 4. Ability to lead and motivate a team, demonstrate empathy, and respond to the needs of staff and facility guests. 5. Experience in staff supervision, program and staff development, training, equipment management, fitness trends, and operations preferred. PREFERENCES: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation, Business Management/Administration, Public Administration, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field. 2. Three (3) years of experience in the fitness industry. 3. One (1) year of supervisory experience, including training and recruiting fitness staff and managing site operations. 4. Experience as a personal trainer and/or group fitness instructor. 5. Experience in aquatics. 6. Experience with RecTrac or similar recreation management software. 7. Ability to empower creative problem solving. 8. Ability to influence, support, and motivate others. LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 1. CPR/AED Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment. 2. Accredited Group Fitness Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (for purposes of 42 USC 12101): 1. Plan, organize, and supervise daily operations of the Fitness Center, Personal Training, and Wellness Programs. 2. Serve as Manager on Duty for the Community Center, assisting with overall daily operations. 3. Lead, train, and supervise fitness and recreation staff. 4. Maintain clear and open communication between staff and management. 5. Deliver excellent internal and external customer service. 6. Promote safety, cleanliness, and proper use of equipment in all programs and facilities. 7. Stay informed on fitness trends and make recommendations to enhance programs. 8. Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and program development as directed. 9. Ensure compliance with City policies, procedures, and safety standards. 10. Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations and program success. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Abide by the Standards of Conduct as defined by City Administration. 2.
