PROGRAM FACILITATOR - RECREATION THERAPY ASSISTANT

We’re searching for the right person to join us as a full-time Program Facilitator RTA.
In this position for our Adult Day Program, better known as Club 36, you will assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and daily operations of therapeutic, person centered and evidence-based programs. The Program Facilitator promotes teamwork and a culture that demonstrates the guiding principles of Alzheimer Society of Calgary.
The Program Facilitator reports to the Manager of Club 36 Harvest Hill and works closely and collaboratively with other members of the Adult Day Program team.
The successful candidate will have a Recreation Therapy Assistant Certificate with preferably a minimum of 1 year as a RTA in an Adult Day Program or related field experience in a continuing care setting. The successful candidate will also have the ability to work with a diverse group of people and be able to visit both Club 36 locations (NE and SE). A background in dementia care and creative programming are desirable qualifications.
Using your experience in geriatrics, you will support our members in having meaningful life experiences through the development and execution of a diverse and creative programs. You will be person-centered in your approach and model our values in all your interactions with the public, team members, residents and their families.
