Position Title: Recruiter & HR Assistant
Location: Scarborough, ON (Occasional travel to the USA required)
Work Model: Role is 100% onsite
Reports To: HR Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a dynamic Recruiter & HR Assistant: who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-cycle recruitment (preferably in manufacturing, startup, or agency settings), combined with generalist HR support experience. You’ll play a vital role in attracting top talent, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and maintaining a smooth onboarding/offboarding experience for new and existing employees.

RECRUITMENT & TALENT ACQUISITION:

  • Lead and manage high-volume, end-to-end recruitment across all departments and levels.
  • Write and revise compelling job descriptions tailored to specific roles and teams.
  • Design and coordinate structured interview processes, including standardized interview questionnaires and scorecards.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to forecast hiring needs and refine recruitment strategies.
  • Support campus recruitment, job fairs, and initiatives to enhance employer branding.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of recruitment experience, ideally in a manufacturing, startup, or staffing agency environment.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume recruitment under tight timelines.
  • Strong writing skills, with experience drafting job postings and interview guides.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with onboarding best practices and HR compliance processes.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to the USA.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is an asset.
  • HR certification (CHRP or in progress) is a plus.
