POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Manager of Labour Relations, the Craft Recruiter is responsible for providing transactional recruitment support for trades positions and will assist with building and fostering a positive labour relations environment between our Project Teams and trade union partners.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in full cycle recruitment in a high volume environment required. Preference would be given to those with construction, heavy civil, oil and gas, mining or similar experience.
- Knowledge of the construction industry and trade unions is required
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build superior working relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of provincial employment laws, best practices and legal framework
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills is essential
- Strategic thinking and excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multi task and to function independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Advanced computer skills MS Office including Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook and grievance or document management systems
- Valid Drivers License require for frequent travel for meetings and conferences
- Ability to travel to Project Sites is an asset
