Recruiter What is Fizz Fizz is America’s biggest college social app, allowing Gen Z to connect around their shared experiences and identities. College Fizz communities feature a private, moderated feed of posts from verified students, making it the most entertaining and authentic way to experience student life. Our newest product, Global Fizz, brings together all of Gen Z nationwide, providing a space to satisfy the 99% of life not on entertainment platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Fizz is on a mission to bring social back to social media. What we’ve done We first launched Fizz at Stanford in July 2021 and have since seen >95% of undergraduates join the app, half of which use Fizz every day. Since raising a $25M Series B in July 2023, we have established ourselves as the dominant community platform at 700+ colleges, have begun to generate revenue through advertising, and are actively expanding to communities beyond college. Where we’re going We have three primary goals for 2025-2026: continue our expansion to the entire US college market, drive revenue growth through our revolutionary ads business, and rapidly iterate on our product to become the dominant social platform for all of Gen Z, not just US college students. What you’ll be doing We’re looking for a recruiter who can do more than fill roles—they’ll help us shape the future of our team. You’ll report directly to our Co-Founder and CEO to build the most talented and mission-aligned team in consumer social. Your responsibilities will include: Owning the full recruitment lifecycle for all open roles: sourcing, screening, coordinating, and closing Craft smart, targeted outreach to engage top passive talent in the consumer mobile apps space Proactively sourcing and building candidate pipelines, especially those who thrive in fast-paced, high-ownership startup environments Partnering with hiring managers to define role requirements and craft compelling job descriptions Deliver a positive candidate experience with excellent communication throughout the process Sharing the Fizz story authentically and compellingly with candidates who want to build products that shape how Gen-Z communicates Qualifications 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including high-performing engineering and technical teams, ideally at fast-growing startups Proven track record of successfully sourcing for technical and non-technical roles Deep understanding of the tech recruiting landscape—tools, trends, challenges, and where to find exceptional talent A genuine passion for early-stage startups and a strong grasp of our product, users, and mission A strong intuition for assessing technical skills and a proven ability to close candidates in competitive markets Excellent storytelling skills and a passion for communicating a startup’s vision to prospective hires This is an onsite role based out of our New York, NY (Soho) office. Compensation for this role is between $90,000 - $140,000 a year based on job related skills and experience. Fizz full-time employees are eligible to receive company sponsored benefits and stock options.
