About the role Flatiron School is expanding access to in-demand tech careers through our Work-Study Apprenticeship Program—an innovative model that blends technical training with paid, real-world experience. We’re looking for a mission-driven Recruiter to help identify, support, and guide the next generation of early-career tech talent. This individual should be able to work independently, as your day will be filled with exciting conversations with our potential apprentices. This person should be able to roll with the punches and adapt to changes in our newly-launched program. This is a full-time, 6-month fixed-term role. As a core part of our Admissions team, you'll screen a high-volume of resumes and assess candidates eligible for the Apprenticeship Program, and which of our employer partners they would be best suited to join. You’ll bring clarity, consistency, and warmth to every step of the process, ensuring applicants feel supported while we maintain high standards and operational excellence. What you'll do Manage a high-volume applicant pipeline, review applications for eligibility and keep all candidate records accurate and up to date. Conduct structured screening interviews using consistent evaluation criteria to assess readiness and recommend qualified candidates. Coordinate interviews with internal teams and stakeholders, handling scheduling, communication, and timely follow-ups. Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, providing clear updates, feedback, and an exceptional applicant experience throughout the process. Collaborate with Admissions and Partnerships teams to align on hiring needs and timelines Share insights and pipeline health updates regularly with Leadership team Qualifications Requirements: 1–3+ years of experience in recruiting, admissions, talent acquisition, or related fields. Experience managing high-volume pipelines and working with structured interview processes. Excellent communication skills—clear, empathetic, proactive, and professional. Strong organizational and operational skills with high attention to detail. Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and adapt to evolving priorities. Preferred Skills: Experience with CRMs, ATS, or SIS systems is a plus Passion for education, workforce development, and expanding access to tech careers.
