Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Bird is seeking a highly motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead recruitment efforts for hourly and seasonal roles, ensuring our operations teams have the right talent to support peak demand. In addition to high-volume hiring, this role will also take on recruitment for corporate functions such as HR and Product as needed.
Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, this individual will be instrumental in ensuring a smooth, scalable, and candidate-friendly hiring process. This is an individual contributor role with the opportunity to take on key global Talent Acquisition projects aimed at improving hiring efficiency, employer branding, and diversity recruitment initiatives.
We are looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments, has a strong ability to engage with candidates from diverse backgrounds, and is a proactive problem-solver.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

High-Volume Recruitment for Hourly & Seasonal Roles (70%)

  • Own and manage end-to-end recruitment for Bird’s hourly and seasonal workforce across multiple locations.
  • Develop sourcing strategies to build robust talent pipelines for operations and field roles, leveraging job boards, social media, community partnerships, and in-house recruitment events.
  • Implement creative and scalable strategies to attract, assess, and hire high-quality hourly employees quickly and efficiently.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and operations leaders to understand workforce planning needs and hiring forecasts. onboarding.

Corporate Recruitment for HR & Product Functions (30%)

  • Support hiring efforts for HR and Product roles as needed, ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor, providing market insights, hiring trends, and talent recommendations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with corporate hiring teams to anticipate hiring needs and refine job requirements.

Talent Strategy & Process Improvement

  • Lead and contribute to global TA projects, such as process automation, diversity hiring, and employer branding initiatives.
  • Continuously assess and improve recruitment processes to enhance efficiency, candidate experience, and hiring quality.
  • Track and report key hiring metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Candidate & Stakeholder Management

  • Ensure a best-in-class candidate experience throughout the hiring journey, from application to onboarding.
  • Act as a trusted partner to hiring managers, guiding them on best practices in interviewing, selection, and candidate engagement.
