Midwest Professional Staffing is partnering with an organization in need of a Recruiter/HR & Operations Generalist. This position will play a vital role in supporting both the Human Resources and Operational functions of the organization, with a strong focus on recruiting top talent and overseeing key administrative and compliance-based tasks. This position manages the full life-cycle recruiting process, supports employee relations and HR operations, and takes ownership of the quarterly and annual billing cycles, as well as the oversight of audit reviews for new plan implementations. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a multitasking environment.
RECRUITMENT
· Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
· Manage the full recruitment cycle including:
o Developing and updating job descriptions and postings.
o Sourcing candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and networks.
o Screening applications, conducting interviews, and coordinating hiring processes.
o Facilitating offer letters, negotiations, and onboarding logistics.
· Maintain a proactive pipeline of qualified candidates.
· Guide hiring managers on interviewing and selection best practices.
· Conduct new hire orientation and ensure a seamless onboarding experience.

HR GENERALIST DUTIES
· Manage benefits and compensation administration.
· Address employee HR-related inquiries and concerns.
· Oversee employee relations, conflict resolution, and internal investigations.
· Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS system data.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
· Conduct exit interviews and manage offboarding procedures.
· Support ongoing employee development, training, and performance management.
· Assist in updating and enforcing HR policies and procedures.
OPERATIONAL DUTIES – BILLING & AUDIT COORDINATION
· Lead the execution of quarterly and annual billing processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing in coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
· Maintain organized records of billing cycles and payment tracking, with attention to audit-readiness and historical accuracy.
· Coordinate audit reviews for new plan implementations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and verify documentation.
· Review new plan data for completeness, flag discrepancies, and track the resolution process through go-live.
· Liaise with accounting, compliance, and operations teams to streamline billing and audit workflows.
· Identify areas for process improvement and propose efficiency upgrades.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
· 3+ years of experience in HR, recruiting, or business operations.
· Prior experience managing full-cycle recruitment and HR generalist duties.
· Strong working knowledge of employment regulations and HR best practices.
· Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to handle large volumes of data accurately.
· Highly organized and capable of managing multiple time-sensitive priorities independently.
· Comfortable with recurring tasks and tight deadlines.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), HRIS systems, and general database/reporting tools.
· Clear, professional communication skills – both written and verbal.
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
