Green Works Contracting is a multi-service landscaping and design company in the nation’s capital focused on providing quality landscaping and friendly, hands-on service. We are currently seeking a Recruiter to join our amazing team!
We are seeking a recruiter to start mid ASAP. Full time and on contract until November 7, 2025, with possibility to extendor sign on as a full term employee.
The successful applicant needs to have a basic understanding of landscape practices. Will be recruiting such talent as DZ/AZ drivers, equipment operators, designers, project managers, landscaper labourers and leaders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Class G Licence with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in Human Resources, recruiting, or other related fields.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to sell job opportunities to potential candidates.
• Strong interviewing skills to assess candidate qualifications and fit for the organization.
• Knowledge of labour and employment laws.
• Strong organizational skills. The ability to meet deadlines and prioritize assignments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Social Media and/or Online Marketing is a bonus.
• Experience with google, microsoft and quickbooks software.
• Understanding of a landscape company related roles.

  Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week

RECRUITER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recruiting sales rep and recruiting guerilla marketing.
• Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates.
• Full-cycle recruiting.
• Screen, recruit, and conduct thorough interviews to assess candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit.
• On-board and train new employees. Overseeing training & scheduling.
• Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and progress in the recruitment pipeline.
• Coordinate events focused on employee recognition.
• Collaborate with managers to understand their staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
• Provide management with requested reports and documents.

ADMINISTRATION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Answer/direct customer calls & emails.
• Occasional administration work.
