We are currently looking to fill a permanent full-time position for a Recruiter for our Distribution Center at our Leamington, ON location.
The Recruiter plays a critical role in supporting the company by recruiting for our Distribution Center, ensuring the timely hiring of qualified candidates to meet staffing needs. This includes handling the full recruitment process, from posting job openings to conducting orientations, while maintaining a focus on delivering a positive and efficient candidate experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A certificate in Human Resource Management is preferred.
- 1-2 years of successful high-volume recruiting experience would be considered an asset.
- A very high degree of confidentiality with regards to all employee and company-related matters.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with employees and management at all levels and across all departments in a professional, unbiased, and productive manner.
- Strong reading, writing, oral communication, and effective listening skills are essential.
- Ability to maintain respectful and professional relationships at all levels within and outside the organization.
- Multi-tasking, time management and prioritizing skills are essential.
- Must be attentive to details and have a strong sense of urgency to complete tasks/follow up.
- Good working knowledge of computers and MS Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to embrace and adapt to the rapid growth, innovation, and development of the company – flexibility is key.
- Strong problem-solving skills required to analyze/solve problems and any unforeseen concerns that may arise.
- A valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle are required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Balance between sitting, standing, and walking.
- There may be an occasional need for some heavy lifting (when needed).
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, etc.
- Required to participate in job fairs or other recruitment events that may require walking/standing for long periods of time.

Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment at the Distribution Center, including job postings (internal and external), applicant tracking, and onboarding for General Labourers through to Supervisors, ensuring compliance and accuracy at every step.
- Facilitate smooth onboarding processes by preparing paperwork, scheduling, and coordinating with departments to deliver exceptional first-day experiences, completing orientations and handling all administrative tasks related to new hires and transfers, including data entry and auditing in HR systems like ADP.
- Maintain and update job sites by posting, closing, and tracking job advertisements, changing applicant statuses, and ensuring timely follow-up with candidates and hiring teams.
- Ensure detailed tracking and record-keeping for all positions, maintaining thorough and accurate documentation of candidate applications, statuses, and outcomes.
- Respond to candidate inquiries, promote the company’s reputation, and manage external partnerships such as school boards for employees under 18 (SALEP and Access).
- Maintain HR record-keeping responsibilities, including maintaining electronic and hard-copy files, document control, and ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
- Collaborate with the Health & Safety team on various initiatives, such as ensuring timely safety shoe reimbursements and other compliance-related matters.
- Assist with HR-related activities, company events, and job fairs, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with company objectives.
- Provide support to Receptionist/HR Assistant during absences or as needed.
- Oversee the DC Office Janitorial department to ensure cleaning tasks are completed in line with checklists and health and safety procedures.
- Manage the door card system for the Distribution Center.
- Contribute to the creation, review, and implementation of company policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements and alignment with company values.
- Must comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedures.
