Blackbird Security Inc. is currently looking to hire a Recruiting Assistant to join our team in Vancouver, BC.
Blackbird is a rapidly growing company and has built a reputation for excellence by setting the standards for superior performance and excellent customer service. We are seeking a Recruiting Assistant who will help us continue to develop and grow our teams.
This is a critical and pivotal role in our development as a growing company, one that requires experience, commitment to our purpose, and a can-do attitude, amongst other attributes.
This role is a part of our National Recruiting Team, working alongside our Recruiting Coordinator to focus on recruiting security guards for our various locations across Canada. This includes screening resumes, conducting interviews, making job offers, and completing new hire documentation, and onboarding paperwork and processes.
The successful candidate will possess very strong organizational and time-management skills, have experience in recruiting, and demonstrate that they are capable of working in a busy, multifaceted position.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience or knowledge of the Security Industry is an asset.
  • This is an entry level role and does not require experience in recruitment, and is ideal for someone who wants to grow in Recruiting in the future.
  • Previous administration experience is required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Recruiting team to review resumes of candidates for various national security positions.
  • Reach out to candidates to conduct preliminary interviews.
  • Schedule interviews for hiring managers.
  • Aid in collecting new hire information and completing new hire paperwork and other onboarding documentation.
  • Ensure a smooth candidate hiring experience.
  • Assist with job postings and advertising on various platforms.
  • Provide administrative support to the recruiting team.
  • Track recruitment metrics as required.
  • Perform other recruiting-related activities as assigned by management.
