Burlington, Ontario | Full-Time | On-site The Opportunity We're looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Recruiting Specialist (Driver Hiring) to own our commercial driver recruitment process from sourcing through onboarding. This role plays a critical part in ensuring we hire safe, qualified, and compliant professional drivers while delivering an excellent candidate experience. You'll work closely with Operations and Human Resources to manage high-volume recruitment, maintain regulatory compliance, and support our growing transportation network. If you're someone who enjoys fast-paced recruiting, loves staying organised, and takes pride in getting the details right, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Be Doing Source and attract qualified commercial driver candidates through job boards, referrals, networking and proactive outreach. Review applications and conduct initial phone interviews. Verify employment history, licences and qualifications. Coordinate background checks, criminal record checks, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) reviews and other pre-employment screening requirements. Schedule interviews, road tests and drug testing where applicable. Build, maintain and audit Driver Qualification files to ensure regulatory compliance. Track candidates throughout the recruitment process using our Applicant Tracking System. Create and maintain accurate driver profiles and hiring records. Partner closely with Operations leaders to understand hiring priorities and workforce needs. Deliver an outstanding candidate experience throughout the hiring process. Support continuous improvement of recruiting processes and hiring metrics. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is considered an asset. Previous experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR administration or transportation recruiting is preferred. Experience recruiting commercial drivers or within the transportation/logistics industry is an asset. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is considered an asset. You'd Be a Great Fit If You... Have exceptional attention to detail and take pride in accurate, compliant work.
