SUMMARY OF POSITION The Recruiting Specialist responsibilities include the recruiting, interviewing and placing of hourly employees at RAE Corporation.  This position will actively recruit for all production vacancies, they will keep track of open positions and interview for the best fit. They will attend all applicable job fairs, career fairs, and school visits related to the manufacturing and HVAC industry to create a future pipeline of skilled employees.  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsible for recruiting and hiring activities related to hourly positions.   Advertise job openings to maximize the applicant pool. Post all openings with state job boards.  Communicate promptly with applicants regarding application status. Post job openings with state agencies, Cherokee Nation, and partner employment agencies. Contribute to the quality and effectiveness of operations by identifying best candidates and screening out unqualified candidates and candidates who are not aligned to RAE Corporation core values by screening applications, conducting telephone/video interview pre-screen for fit, contacting previous employers for reference checks, coordinating skills testing, and verifying education/credentials. Attend all applicable job and career fairs to source talent. Foster future employee pipeline. Advertise and promote employee referral programs. Host educator and student tours to introduce future workforce to careers in manufacturing. Attend technical school and High School events to educate students on careers at RAE Corporation.   Promote employee referral program Advertise and promote employee referral programs. Ensure employee referrals are given top priority. Give feedback to internal recruiters.   Coordinate with area supervisor/lead in training gap analysis to develop training and ensure all hourly occupations have a training matrix and training procedures established, published, and adhered to. Ongoing, identify areas are training ineffectiveness.   Work with supervisor to develop training matrix, job instructions, and training plans for each hourly occupation.   Maintain employee training matrix for all departments.  Print and publish an updated training matrix for each department.   Coordinate between videographer, supervisor, and lead to film training videos for publication in LMS.   Work as a team member with other HR staff and Marketing staff to plan and execute employee engagement and retention activities.   Assist with execution of monthly meet and greet.  Plan and assist with employee events.     Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Contribute to team effort by working with others both within the department and with other departments. Complete any task as assigned by the supervisor as needed. Comply with government regulations, laws, company policies, and company procedures.                  DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience: Related degree (BA/BS/AA) or equivalent experience desired.   Skills: Active listening, effective written & verbal communications, data analysis, critical and analytic thinking, complex problem solving, a basic understanding of employment law, negotiation skills, organizational skills, ability to manage and adapt to multiple priorities, willingness to learn, ability to train others, ability to work in a stressful environment, mediation skills, knowledge of business operations, consensus building, conflict resolution, discretion, leadership skills, mathematical skills, project management, teaching/mentoring, team building.   Certificates, Licenses, or training: valid driver's license INTERACTION WITH OTHERS Reports to Human Resources Manager. Works closely with the Human Resources Specialist.  During the first year of employment, you provide ongoing and proactive communications about job expectations, work performance, and employee relations.  Act as advisor for new employees to empower them to resolve challenges faced at work.     Communicate with leads and supervisors regularly about recruiting effectiveness, retention, and performance management for hourly employees with less than one year of experience. WORKING ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The position is conducted primarily in an office setting, with occasional exposure to a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
