We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Recruitment and Skills Development People Partner to drive talent acquisition and development strategies. The ideal candidate will be adept at recruiting top talent, managing graduate and learnership programs, and ensuring compliance with Skills Development legislation. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for fostering a culture of learning and growth.

Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:

Recruitment:

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment, selection, deployment, onboarding, and transition of resources.
  • Assess candidates using multiple methods, including interviews, assessments and case-studies and CV reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, labour laws, and codes of good practice.
  • Enhance recruitment processes using Workday process and analytics to improve hiring efficiency.
  • Take ownership of the full onboarding process including organising and delivering first day induction
  • Proactively build and maintain talent pipelines aligned with future strategic skills needs.
  • Adapt sourcing strategies to attract candidates for hard-to-fill roles.
  • Measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies through methods such as retention analysis, media and supplier assessments, customer satisfaction surveys, and validation of selection methods.

Skills Development:

  • Coordinate an annual hosted BEE learnership program and YES program with external service providers.
  • Plan and implement a tailored Graduate Program, overseeing the recruitment and selection of candidates, onboarding graduates, and providing regular engagement and coaching throughout the program.
  • Coordinate with external training providers and manage budgets for skills development and training initiatives, ensuring compliance with local skills development legislation.
  • Complete the company annual Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Budget (ATB), submitting all skills development reports to the relevant SETA.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation and reports for the annual BEE Verification process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Lead local socio-economic development initiatives, planning, encouraging engagement from others, and implementing them within budget.

What you will bring:

Qualifications and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in human resources administration, recruitment and skills development
  • Previous experience working with Workday Human Resource system will be beneficial

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Skilled in acquiring, deploying, and onboarding new starters using Workday for planning, scheduling, and tracking candidate activity.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to execute administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • HR Systems Management: Competent in configuring and utilising Workday and other HR platforms for recruitment and talent management.
  • Learning & Development Management: Skilled in managing and implementing graduate training and development programs.
  • Analytical Skills: Capable of generating and analysing reports to support decision-making and improve recruitment and skills development strategies.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to recruitment processes, skills development, and HR operations.
  • Multitasking & Prioritisation: Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritising effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and proactive in responding to evolving business needs and changing priorities.
