Meissner Castlebar is proud to partner with the Employment and Recruitment Federation (ERF) and the National College of Ireland (NCI) to offer a 3-year Recruitment Executive Apprenticeship Programme, leading to a Level 8 Honours Degree.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully function in this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • A genuine interest in recruitment or talent development.
  • A grade H5 and above in two higher level subjects together with a minimum of O6/H7 in four other subjects. A minimum of grade O6/H7 must be obtained in English. A grade O6/H7 must be obtained in Mathematics. Holders of a QQI level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) can apply for entry onto the programme.
  • Learners for whom English is not a first language must demonstrate proficiency in English with CEF B2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) or recognised equivalent.
  • Relevant experience and qualifications (e.g. ERF Programme in Recruitment Practice) is beneficial.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of programme commencement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn recruitment system.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain strong networks that support effective hiring and long-term partnerships.
  • Source and attract top talent through multiple channels to identify and engage quality candidates.
  • Match candidates to job opportunities based on skills, culture fit, potential, and motivation.
  • Support the interview and selection process by preparing candidate profiles and coordinating client interactions.
  • Use our applicant tracking systems to ensure all information is recorded to the highest standard.
  • Identify and engage potential candidates in advance, maintaining strong relationships to support ongoing and future recruitment requirements.
