The East Sussex County Council Recruitment Team are looking for a Recruitment Assistant to join us on a Fixed Term basis until the end of March 2025. This is a great opportunity for an introduction to working in recruitment and HR and can provide an invaluable foundation for anyone looking to launch a career in these areas of work. A full induction and training programme will be provided so no prior knowledge or experience of recruitment is required.
We are a busy team responsible for assisting candidates and supporting hiring managers right across the Council to make more than 1000 appointments every year to a diverse variety of roles ranging from apprentices to our most senior management positions.

We are looking for candidates who:
- Are proactive and confident communicators who are able to speak to managers and candidates
- Enjoy the challenge of working at pace to meet deadlines whilst retaining a keen eye for detail
- Can manage multiple priorities effectively and efficiently
- Can manage a large case load of appointed candidates to meet deadlines

Interviews will be held in person on Friday 24 May 2024 at County Hall in Lewes and we will provide you with a copy of the interview questions 24 hours before your interview. You will be interviewed by two current team members and we welcome your questions as part of the process.
The post is based in Lewes, East Sussex. We have a hybrid working model allowing for home working but will require that you work from the office for a minimum of three days per week. This is to ensure that you receive the best possible induction and support in your new role.
