The East Sussex County Council Recruitment Team are looking to appoint two Recruitment Assistants. Two current Recruitment Assistants have been promoted within the HR team on a temporary basis. We are looking to cover the roles on one-year fixed term contracts.
This is a great opportunity for an introduction to working in recruitment and HR and can provide an invaluable foundation for anyone looking to launch a career in these areas of work.
We are a busy team responsible for assisting candidates and supporting hiring managers right across the Council to make more than 1000 appointments every year to a diverse variety of roles ranging from apprentices to our most senior management positions.
We are always looking to make improvements for our customers whilst working within a supportive team and working hard to live up to our excellent reputation. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to influence change, be creative and make a difference to people’s working lives.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Are proactive and confident communicators, who can speak to managers and candidates
  • Enjoy the challenge of working at pace to meet deadlines whilst retaining a keen eye for detail
  • Can manage multiple priorities effectively and efficiently
  • Can manage a large case load of appointed candidates to meet deadlines

The post is based in Lewes, East Sussex and we will require that you work from the office for a minimum of three days per week.
