RECRUITMENT ASSISTANT Purpose of the Position: The purpose of the position is to assist in the recruitment of applicants, the implementation of recruitment processes and assisting in overseeing that all recruitment procedures are followed. Position Summary: The Recruitment Assistant is responsible for assisting the Recruitment Officers and Recruitment Manager in the step-by-step recruitment procedures of all new applicants. In the absence of the Recruitment Assistant, the Recruitment Officer will take over all his task related to the recruitment process. Qualifications Must be a graduate of BS Business, Marketing or any related bachelor’s degree course. Knowledge or experience in Crew Manning or Shipmanagement is an advantage Core Job Functions: Responsible for conducting an initial assessment of the qualifications of all applicants in coordination with the Recruitment Officer Responsible for verification of the official records/documents of the new applicants to ensure that they are valid and authentic. Responsible for assisting with administering the candidate examination and coordinating with the company psychologist for enrollment on the IMEQ platform The Recruitment Assistant is responsible for the collection of the original documents of the new applicants. Other duties that maybe assigned by the Recruitment Officer and Recruitment Manager. Core Competency Excellent in communication skills. Excellent knowledge in English writing and speaking. Must have the knowledge and understanding of recruitment. Must be knowledgeable on computer operating, office software and applications. Significant Factors: He/She must have the ability to work extra hours. He/She must possess the ability to plan and innovate and come up with new effective recruitment schemes. He/She must possess an excellent inter-personal skill in dealing with prospective applicants. He/She must be willing to familiarize with the recruitment processes and other related recruitment tasks.
