Description

Oakbridge Search Partners is a boutique retained search firm focused on finance, accounting, and operations-focused roles. We partner with clients across these functions in a variety of industries to identify and place exceptional talent, and we do it with the same rigor, discretion, and relationship-first instinct our clients bring to their own businesses. We're a lean, collaborative team, and every person here has real ownership over the work and a genuine hand in how the firm grows.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We're adding a standalone hire to our team: an Associate who will sit at the intersection of business development and candidate sourcing. This is a foundational role with close mentorship built in. You'll be trained across the full recruitment lifecycle, from opening new client relationships to identifying and engaging top talent, while getting genuine exposure to the operational backbone that keeps a search practice running. Along the way, you'll regularly speak and meet with senior executives across finance, accounting, and operations, the kind of access that typically takes years to earn elsewhere.

This role suits someone early in their career who wants to learn recruitment the right way: end-to-end, mentored closely, and with a clear line between effort and reward.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Business Development: Identify, research, and initiate outreach to prospective client companies across finance, accounting, and operations, helping grow Oakbridge's book of business.

Sourcing: Build and manage candidate pipelines for active searches, using our database, LinkedIn, and other channels to identify and engage qualified talent.

Full-Cycle Exposure: Get hands-on across the entire search process, including intake calls, candidate screening, shortlist presentations, and offer management, as your skills develop.

Backend Operations: Maintain CRM/ATS records, track search progress, and support the reporting and process discipline that keeps a successful practice organized.

Executive Engagement: Join calls and meetings with finance, accounting, and operations executives, building market fluency and executive-level communication skills from day one.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 1–3 years of post-university experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • A degree in business, human resources, or a related field.
  • Highly organized, with genuine strength (and interest) in time management; you keep multiple threads moving without dropping the ball.
  • Sharp written and verbal communication skills, with the poise to speak comfortably with senior professionals.
  • A self-starter mindset: curious, coachable, and energized by a role where effort translates directly into results.
  • An interest in finance, accounting, or operations is a strong plus.
