Position Summary
We are hiring a Recruitment & Employee Services Specialist to lead recruitment efforts across all our long-term care and housing sites in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia. This role is primarily focused on talent acquisition, from posting to hiring, and plays a key role in building strong, mission-aligned teams. In addition, the role supports onboarding, employee life-cycle engagement, and wider HR initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with site teams and report to the Human Resources Business Partner.

Key Responsibilities

Primary – Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment across all ABH long-term care and housing sites
  • Manage job postings, applicant tracking, candidate screening, and interview coordination
  • Maintain and update recruitment materials (job ad templates, interview guides, etc.)
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics, providing timely reports to the HR Business Partner
  • Coordinate student employment programs (e.g., SEED, SUN), including applications and reporting

Secondary – Employee Experience & HR Support Services

  • Support onboarding and employee engagement activities in collaboration with site-based HR staff
  • Assist with the administration of staff perks and benefit programs
  • Contribute to organization-wide internal communications and employee lifecycle consistency
  • Maintain employee records in line with policies and relevant legislation
  • Provide occasional HR coverage and support to individual sites as needed

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Education & Experience
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years of experience in recruitment and employee services
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-volume recruitment across multiple sites, including remote hiring processes is required
  • Experience working in a unionized healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred
  1. Skills & Competencies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving abilities
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS or ATS systems is preferred
  • Knowledge of employment standards and HR best practices in healthcare

Job Type:
Full-time, permanent remote position with understanding that it will require a hybrid arrangement based on demands of the role
Working Hours/Schedule:
Monday to Friday, day shifts, with occasional flexibility required to meet operational needs
