BYD Auto Hungary is looking for a versatile and dynamic Recruitment Team Leader to join our Country HR Team. The Recruitment Team Leader will lead the recruitment team and oversee all hiring activities in multiple legal entities in Hungary (including large-scale greenfield projects), ensuring the organization attracts and hires (A level) top talents across R&D, sales, engineering, manufacturing, corporate, and operational functions. This role will focus on recruitment strategy, channel development, employer branding, process optimization, and team leadership to support rapid organizational growth. Key Responsibilities: Build and Scale the Recruitment Function Design and implement a scalable, future-ready recruitment strategy aligned with aggressive headcount growth Build, structure, and lead a high-performing recruitment team capable of supporting rapid expansion across multiple legal entities in Hungary (including large-scale greenfield projects) Developing recruitment governance, processes, and performance standards Deliver High-Volume and Critical Hiring at Scale Lead full-cycle recruitment across blue-collar, white-collar, engineering, and specialist roles Ensure hiring targets are met on time to support production ramp-up milestones Manage large-scale hiring projects, including production ramp phases and new line launches Develop and Own Talent Supply Channels Build strong talent pipelines through multiple channels: job boards, agencies, referrals, technical schools, universities, and direct sourcing (e.g. job fairs, on-site recruitment, road-shows) Develop innovative sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill technical and engineering roles Establish and manage strategic partnerships with recruitment agencies and external vendors Act as a Strategic Partner to the Business Partner with senior leaders to align hiring plans with production and operational ramp-up Provide market intelligence, talent availability insights, and hiring risk analysis Anticipate hiring challenges and proactively implement solutions Lead, Develop, and Inspire a Recruitment Team Hire, coach, and develop recruiters and coordinators Build a performance-driven, accountable, and agile recruitment organization Foster a culture of ownership, urgency, and continuous improvement Establish Employer Brand in Hungary Position the company as a top employer in Hungary’s competitive automotive labor market Lead employer branding initiatives and recruitment marketing campaigns working together with marketing teams Represent the company at recruitment events, job fairs, and industry forums Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field Minimum 5–8 years of recruitment experience preferably in automotive, manufacturing, or industrial environments Minimum 5–8 years of experience leading or managing a recruitment team Proven experience managing high-volume recruitment and large-scale workforce expansion Experience recruiting both blue-collar and white-collar roles Experience working in an international or multicultural environment preferred Experience in headhunting agencies with a focus on industrial sectors preferred Strong understanding of Hungary’s automotive talent market Strong leadership and people management skills Strategic thinking with hands-on execution capability Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Experience in building recruitment channels and talent pipelines Strong organizational and project management skills Data-driven, result driven mindset with experience using recruitment metrics Experience with ATS systems and recruitment tools The capacity to communicate and act effectively, appropriately, and authentically across cultural differences, locally and globally Embracing uncertainties and challenges What we offer International work environment; Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals from around the world.
