Description

Our Chalk River location is looking for a Recycle Fuel Fabrication Laboratories (RFFL) Technician to support out Licensed Nuclear Facilities Branch. Responsibilities
  • Conducting research and development experiments.
  • Fabricating and characterizing fuel materials under the direction of the Supervising Technician.
  • Performing and assisting with the installation, inspections and modifications to fuel fabrication and other experimental equipment.
  • Ensuring that the equipment within the facility is operating in a safe and efficient manner according to regulations and procedures.
  • Commissioning new equipment and apparatus for fuel fabrication and characterization.
  • Conducting research and development and compliance tests in accordance with work plans, procedures, and technical specifications.
  • Assisting in developing work plans and procedures.
  • Solving technical problems involved with equipment and procedures.
  • Performing independent inspections and tests.
  • Maintaining zone inventories of fissile materials.
  • Recording observations and data in route sheets and logbooks.
  • Participating in facility compliance activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.
