We have an immediate opening for a Recycling Technician to handle processing of all recycling and waste management for our Cypress, CA facility. Key Job Functions: Overseeing the collecting, handling and delivery of recyclable material from offices and production area Ensuring recyclable materials are placed in proper containers Inspecting collection barrels, carts, dumpsters, and recycling bins making sure that they are in good condition and if they need their labels to be replaced Maintaining records and makes periodic reports about volume and type of recycling activity Maintaining recycling center in a clean, well-organized manner avoiding clutter and potential fire hazards Receiving, inspecting and verifying recyclable materials Picking up and delivers supplies and materials for recycling area Loading and unloading recycling pickup trucks Overseeing recycling equipment maintenance Assisting in the sorting and baling of recyclable commodities Logging and tracking recycling pick-ups Reporting garbage spills/hazardous waste and contaminated recycling bins/barrels to the Plant Manager and/or VP of Sustainability Involvement in other special projects, as needed Pay $19.00/hr Requirements In order to be successful, you will need: At least 6 to 12 months experience working in a production environment High school diploma/GED Forklift experience/certification Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of proper methods of disposing of hazardous materials Knowledge of safe and proper use of baler Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Ability to understand necessar safety procedures and precautions Why join the ECOS family: Comprehensive group insurance including medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability, and supplemental insurance plans including accident and critical illness 401k with company match Paid vacation and sick pay Eleven paid holidays per year including your birthday Paid parental bonding leave Sustainability incentives for purchasing eco-friendly car Wellness programs and incentives Equal Opportunity Employer/minority/female/disability/veteran
