The Opportunity As the Red Line Cleaner, you will be responsible for providing cleaning and sanitation of red lines as well as keeping them tidy and fully stocked with consumables and uniforms. This position works out of our Pokeno, Waikato site in our Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain division. What You’ll Do: Accountable for ensuring that plant and equipment are kept at high standards of cleanliness at all times in line with quality and plant requirements Support companywide initiatives to maintain and improve plant cleaning operations to ensure the production environment meets the company Pathogen Management Plan and visual GMP expectations Actively liaise with manufacturing and production management staff where GMP/ hygiene improvements are required. Proactively perform cleaning as determined in assigned schedule and set procedures React to and improve systems based on environmental results You may be required to work outside of your ordinary hours of work to participate in essential training, team meetings, customer events or trade shows/conferences. These events may take place on an evening and/or weekend. Quality, Safety and Environmental Attend regular departmental meetings with relevant manager/supervisor to build in continuous feedback mechanisms. Meet the requirements of ISO by complying with all relevant Quality policies and procedures to ensure the Quality objectives of the business are met. Comply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimising accidental exposures to self, colleagues and/or the environment. Ensure any PPE provided by the Abbott is worn and maintained. Report any accidents or incidents within 24 hours through allocated system and notify your manager. Conduct Ensure all activities carried out by self and others are in accordance with legislative employment policies, health & safety requirements and global policy. Promote a standard of excellence for quality and customer focus at Abbott. Uphold the Abbot Code of Business Conduct. Live our Abbott Values – Pioneering, Achieving, Caring, Enduring. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Abbott standard operating procedures and policies and always ensure compliance. Compliance & Training Requirements: Completion of all assigned Training to this role by the scheduled due date is mandatory Requirements: NCEA Level 1 or equivalent qualification (preferred). Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning (advantageous). Knowledge of environmental pathogens and hygiene standards (advantageous).
