Career City College provides vocational training in career oriented skills across Canada. We’re hiring a Curriculum Developer to create exam prep courses for Red Seal Exams in trades like Auto Body Technician, Carpenter, Chef (Cooking), Electrician (Construction & Industrial), Machinist, Millwright, Plumber, and HVAC Technician. You’ll design engaging materials aligned with certification standards, working with trade experts to support learners in achieving Red Seal certification.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
3-5 years in curriculum development, ideally in trades or vocational education.
Knowledge of Red Seal standards, apprenticeships, and regulated trades; Red Seal certification is a plus.
Experience with PTIRU application processes for program approval and compliance, including prior development of PTIRU-approved curricula.
Familiarity with regulatory bodies like the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills.
Experience working with trade SMEs for content creation.
Proficiency in adult learning principles, theories (e.g., ADDIE), and assessments.
Skills in digital tools like Microsoft Office, e-learning platforms, and authoring software
Strong communication and project management skills.
Commitment to inclusivity and accessible materials.
Relevant Red Seal certifications are a plus.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Data analysis for program evaluation.
Experience with online synchronous and asynchronous learning and trends like AI in education.
Strong relationships with trade professionals and organizations.
