RED SEAL HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC – FULL-TIME

Location: Brandon, MB

Schedule: Monday to Friday | In-Person

Quarry Hills Excavation & Gravel Ltd. is one of Westman’s leading heavy civil contractors, providing excavation, gravel, and infrastructure solutions across the region. As we continue to grow, we are looking to bring on a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our maintenance team and keep our fleet of equipment in top operational condition.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (required)
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in heavy equipment service and repair
  • Valid Class 5 license (Class 3 or 1 considered an asset)
  • Strong understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines
  • Welding or fabrication skills considered an asset
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a shop or outdoor setting
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, service, and repair a range of heavy-duty construction equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, trucks, and trailers
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and safety checks according to manufacturer standards
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Maintain accurate service records and logs
  • Communicate with operators and supervisors regarding equipment status, repairs, and timelines
  • Assist with parts ordering and inventory control
  • Work both in-shop and in the field for on-site equipment support
