QUALIFICATIONS

· Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Certification (or equivalent interprovincial qualification)
· Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in heavy-duty equipment repair and maintenance
· Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems
· Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
· Proficient in using diagnostic tools and specialized repair equipment
· Valid driver’s license: Class 1 or 3 with air brake endorsement is an asset
· Strong commitment to workplace safety

· Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on heavy equipment
· Perform preventive maintenance on machinery including loaders, excavators, graders, trucks, and other fleet vehicles
· Troubleshoot and resolve equipment performance issues
· Maintain accurate service records and reports
· Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies
· Collaborate with operators and supervisors to minimize downtime
