JOB SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a full-time Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. We’re looking for someone who is motivated and knowledgeable. Experience in commercial and residential settings is an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Red Seal Certification (or Journeyperson Electrician certification in good standing)
• Experience in residential, commercial, and/or industrial electrical work
• Experience with new builds, renovations, and retrofits
• Proficient in lighting upgrades, distribution systems, and design-build projects
• Solid understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code and local building regulations
• Experience with troubleshooting in all areas and being able to come up with solutions
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Comfortable working independently or leading a small team on-site
• Experience mentoring apprentices and supporting their professional development
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must supply basic hand tools and PPE; company provides specialty tools and equipment

• Perform electrical installations for residential and commercial construction projects, ensuring all work complies with current codes and safety standards.
• Carry out retrofitting and renovation projects, including updating and modernizing existing electrical systems.
• Complete lighting upgrades and retrofit work, focusing on energy efficiency and modern design.
• Work on design-build housing and renovation projects, collaborating with clients, designers, and contractors to deliver tailored electrical solutions.
• Deliver a full range of residential electrical services, including panel upgrades, wiring, troubleshooting, and smart home integrations.
• Handle large electrical distribution systems in commercial or multi-unit developments, including transformers, switchgear, and load centers.
• Provide emergency electrical service work, responding quickly and effectively to urgent electrical issues.
• Perform routine service and maintenance, diagnosing and repairing electrical systems to ensure safe and consistent operation.
• Mentor and support apprentices, providing guidance, training, and oversight to help develop their skills and ensure quality workmanship.
