We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various carpentry tasks, demonstrating proficiency in commercial construction projects. As a Journeyperson Carpenter, you will be responsible for executing carpentry work with precision and attention to detail, ensuring that all projects meet quality standards and specifications.

SKILLS

  • General Carpentry Position – diverse work experience is a plus
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to carpentry work.
  • Strong ability to assemble various structures with precision.
  • Experience in construction painting techniques for finishing touches on projects.
  • Competence in cabinet installation processes for commercial spaces.
  • Ability to be self-reliant/productive, will be working alone or pairs most often.

    -Must have a valid driver’s license

    -Physically fit and able to do physical labor
    -Knowledge of all aspects of commercial construction
    -Rotating weekend schedule
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $38.00-$41.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Completion of renovations/restoration/maintenance projects
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform carpentry tasks efficiently.
  • Assemble and install structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
  • Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square according to design requirements.
  • Execute cabinet installation, siding application, and construction painting as needed.
  • Reading and interpreting architectural blueprints, diagrams and plans
  • Complying with all applicable safety regulations and paperwork
  • Training and managing apprentices and subordinates
  • Monitoring inventory and replenishing supplies as needed
  • Measuring, preparing, and building materials for jobs
  • Repairing or renovating existing structures or furniture
  • Collaborating with other construction experts such as other trades, project managers, engineers, and architects
  • Doing demo work for diverse jobs
  • Smaller concrete jobs
  • Millwork modifications, repairs and replacements
  • Wallboard patching and painting
  • Familiar with wood and steel wall systems
  • T-bar ceiling repairs and ceiling tile replacements
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
