Tadano America Corporation located in Leduc, AB is recruiting a certified Red Seal Journeyman Field Mechanic to join our team. We are looking for an experienced, dedicated, and safety-oriented mechanic for this position.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification including Red Seal Certification
  • 3-5 years of crane related experience
  • Previous experience working with the Tadano product would be a benefit
  • Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals relating to manufacturer specifications and warranty environments
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues in mechanical systems
  • Experience in a customer facing role and a sound understanding of the importance of customer relationships
  • Good organizational and planning skills
  • Strong attention to detail and able to work within the framework of multiple deadlines
  • Hold a strong standard for quality and safety
  • Have a team-oriented approach and thought process
  • May be required to travel to various and sometimes remote job locations for extended periods of time
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License
  • Clean driver’s abstract and maintain a clean driving record
  • Occasional international travel for training and for product support

Responsibilities
  • Warranty, maintenance, repair, service and inspection of rough-terrain, all-terrain, tele-crawler and lattice boom crawler crane equipment
  • Able to diagnose faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at customer sites
  • Test the repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Able to travel and work in remote locations (60%)
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision but also participate in the work of other mechanics and apprentices within the field environment
  • Provides technical direction guidance and support to customers/dealers for service orders and crane issues via phones/emails
  • Prepares technical repair instructions in collaboration with experts in Tadano America and other Tadano companies
  • May perform other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
