JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Carpenter to join our team in Kelowna. The Journeyman Carpenter will be responsible for a variety of carpentry tasks related to the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent carpentry skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. First aid and Timber work an asset.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Proven experience as a Carpenter in the construction industry
· Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications
· Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and best practices
· Excellent mathematical skills and ability to accurately measure and calculate dimensions
· Attention to detail and precision in all work
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring manual labor
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Red Seal certification in Carpentry
Timber work
First aid
· Previous experience working on residential and commercial construction projects in British Columbia

· Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
· Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plastic, and other materials according to project specifications
