MUST FILL IMMEDIATLEY

We are seeking a Journeyperson Pipe Fitter to join our team. A proven leader, this individual will work with and lead apprentice Pipe Fitters in current and upcoming projects with Single Source Project Management.
The Fitter will be an integral part of the success of the assigned projects. In this position, you will be responsible for working on all aspects of plumbing/pipefitting, industrial back ground preferred. Proven knowledge of commercial boilers, pumps, exchangers, small and large bore piping and pipe fabrication. The main accountabilities of this position will be installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical piping systems and infrastructure in a wide variety of energy sector, civil and industrial current and upcoming Single Source projects.

CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge in hydrostatic testing
  • Journeyman pipefitter with Red Seal is an asset.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Pipefitter
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
  • Experience in threaded piping systems
  • Rigging experience
  • Valid government-issued driver’s license
  • Overall skill in relation to tools, measuring, and fabrication in general.
  • Experience in a pipe fabrication setting.
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Must be able to work well both independently and on a team.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work in high pressure schedule driven environment.
  • Previous experience working in a plant (for example: refinery, gas, pulp and paper) plant will be considered a strong asset.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently.
    Working Conditions: You will be exposed to all weather conditions including heat, cold, humid/ wet, dust, noise, chemicals, gases and odors, walking, and the potential of confined space entry.
    Note: You will be required to supply your own tools and you must be eligible to obtain Confined Space Entry Certification (training will be provided).

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
    Pay: $42.00-$46.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Responsibilities
  • Attend and participate in daily tailgate meetings, completes FLHAs for the work tasks assigned for the day signs in and out of work areas as required and follows all corporate, industry and client guidelines
  • The ability to use tools and equipment safely, while abiding by the health and safety rules,
  • Using hand tools or machines to perform various activities.
  • Reading and interpreting P&ID (piping and instrumentation drawings) and GA’s (general assembly) drawings to assemble a process piping system.
  • Installing supports, valves, piping, and control systems
  • Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipe
  • Threading joints to join pipes and fabrication sections of piping systems.
  • Performing hydrotest or pneumatic testing
  • Adherence to industry standards, customer standards detailed on drawings, and company general practices.
  • Write reports including work orders, progress reports, and equipment recommendations.
  • Lead and direct staff as necessary and assist in training apprentices and/or trainees.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate policies and programs pertaining to health & safety, environment, quality, code of conduct and scope of work.
  • Holds or attends daily tailgate meetings, completes hazard assessments, and maintains a safe working environment.
  • Drive and operate all equipment in a safe and professional manner
  • Maintain a high degree of cleanliness and professionalism on site.
  • Complete all “Safety Daily Field Forms” having all Field Project Documentation requirements available on site
  • Must be able to work at heights of more than 6 feet and in confined spaces when required.
  • Work efficiently without constant supervision.
  • Ensures production is efficient, and to specifications.
  • Maintains a high standard of workmanship and professionalism.
  • Pre-Planning work execution strategy and methods for optimal production.
  • Adjusting work execution strategy and methods where needed during course of project.
  • Tracks infield production daily and complete LEM daily
  • Maintain positive communications and build repour with client in field on day-to-day basis.
