JOB DESCRIPTION

The Red Seal Plumber (Journeyperson) at DMS Hydronic Mechanical Systems Ltd. will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and hydronic mechanical systems for new build construction projects. Working independently and guiding apprentices, the journeyperson will apply their expertise in plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems to ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, safety standards, and client specifications. This full-time position follows a Monday to Friday schedule and requires regular work at project sites located throughout the Metro Vancouver area, with key project sites in Burnaby and Coquitlam.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Red Seal Journeyperson Plumber ticket
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in commercial or residential plumbing
  • Strong knowledge of BC plumbing codes, hydronic systems, and HVAC components
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
  • Physical stamina and dexterity
Responsibilities
  • Install plumbing, drainage, heating systems, plumbing fixtures, and various equipment for new construction projects in accordance with blueprints and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues independently, using sound technical judgment and experience.
  • Interpret and apply plumbing codes, safety regulations, and building standards to ensure code-compliant installations.
  • Supervise, support, and mentor apprentices and team members on site.
  • Coordinate effectively with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades to maintain project timelines.
  • Ensure job sites remain clean, organized, and safe throughout all phases of work.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed to company quality standards and within designated timelines.
  • Document completed work accurately and communicate any issues or delays to management.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
