The Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of residential refrigeration systems. This is a hands-on role that requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining strong customer service standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role
  • Refrigeration Certification required
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings related to HVAC systems
  • Familiarity with appliance repair, including installation and maintenance tasks
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Must have own tools to complete work
  • Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
  • Install, inspect, and test refrigeration systems and components according to specifications and manufacturer guidelines
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in residential refrigeration systems
  • Perform regular maintenance and preventive service on refrigeration units to ensure optimal performance
  • Repair or replace defective components, including compressors, motors, thermostats, valves, and control systems
  • Use gauges, meters, and diagnostic tools to test and verify system performance
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and system conditions
  • Comply with all safety and environmental regulations, including handling and disposal of refrigerants in accordance with government standards
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on work status and system conditions
  • Collaborate with other technicians and staff to resolve complex mechanical issues
  • Participate in on-call rotation
