We are actively searching for a On Road Red Seal to Join a small team in Abbotsford, BC as a Maintenance Supervisor. This position will be responsible for leading a team of union technicians specializing in the safety and optimal performance of a small fleet of Heavy Trucks. If you&rsquore a Licensed Red Seal Transport Technician with leadership experience, we want you on board!
This role is going to eventually transition into a Maintenance Manager role. Current maintenance Managers are welcome to apply!

Responsibilities
  • The Shop Supervisor oversees the efficient and safe operation of their assigned crew by directing, controlling, and coordinating activities required to repair or overhaul trucks, and other heavy-duty vehicles in a manner to meet demands
  • Oversees commercial vehicle inspections
  • Supervises the activities of the Maintenance staff with respect to production, volume, cost, quality, and meeting scheduled roll-outs
  • Stimulates maximum efficiency and productivity of Maintenance staff
  • Confers with the Manager to establish repair schedules for all departments connected with Maintenance
  • Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices
  • Assures that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained for efficient operation
  • Maintain good employee relations. Take proper disciplinary measures when required, and assists in handling employee grievances
  • Keeps records of departmental activities, as required
  • Assure efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods, and elimination of wasteful practices within the department
  • Establishes accountability and goals used for performance evaluation
  • Conduct Orientation and Training of Employees
  • Enforce Safe Work Practices
