We’re looking for a dynamic Technical Writer to produce clear and concise documentation for the client’s and project’s needs. As the bridge between complex information and user understanding, you’ll create guides, manuals, and reports that enhance usability. This role requires clarity, technical aptitude, and a user-focused mindset.

The role

  • Write and edit technical documentation, including user manuals and guides
  • Collaborate with customers, and managers, to gather information
  • Simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
  • Ensure consistency in style, tone, and formatting across documentation
  • Maintain and update documentation to reflect changes and updates
  • Use authoring tools to produce content
  • Conduct usability testing to validate document clarity and effectiveness
  • Align content with organizational standards and user needs
  • Communicate documentation plans and updates to stakeholders

Requirements

  • Strong writing and editing abilities
  • Basic understanding of technical concepts and documentation processes
  • Excellent research and information-gathering skills
  • Proficiency in structuring content for clarity and accessibility
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Detail-oriented and user-centric approach
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English and French, Communications, or related field - The ability to speak and write in more than 1 language is required in order to conduct business outside of the province of Québec
  • Experience creating documentation for software, hardware, or technical processes
  • Proven success in delivering clear, user-friendly content
  • Experience in WMS and MES, or technical writing or related roles, would be considered a plus
