For more information, please visit www.youthvillages.org Position Overview: The REDCap Technical Specialist supports the Research Department by assisting with web-based data collection (such as online surveys) and analyzing project data. They develop and maintain REDCap projects to meet the organization’s data collection and evaluation needs. Working closely with the REDCap Manager, the Specialist will build and maintain projects, create innovative survey designs, and have a strong understanding of how the REDCap system functions. Additionally, they will contribute to special projects as requested by the Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The REDCap Technical Specialist: Collaborates with department leaders and key stakeholders to determine data collection needs and conceptualize REDCap project structure Designs complex REDCap projects with advanced logic, integrations, and custom styling Participates in scheduled and ad hoc meetings with staff requesting projects Performs regular maintenance on active projects (including managing access and making modifications) Designs and delivers advanced training and guidance on data extraction, reporting, and system capabilities for departmental users Ensures project deadlines are met and maintains high standards for data quality Writes queries within REDCap, Snowflake, Evolv, and MS SQL to support data needs Supports REDCap application reliability and performance monitoring Assists the Manager in troubleshooting and resolving system-related issues for end users (including broken survey links, system-related issues, and data entry issues) Collaborates in developing and following best practices for REDCap project management and data integrity Performs other duties as assigned Additional Information: This is a remote position. Remote candidates should expect some travel with time spent in Youth Villages offices, building relationships, learning in-person the Youth Villages culture, and the work we do.
