As a Social Media Content Strategist (Reddit), you’ll help bring Vanguard’s voice to life through thoughtful, compliant, community-first content. You’ll own day-to-day content development and execution that keeps our Reddit presence helpful, human, and consistent—while also identifying patterns and opportunities that improve quality, workflow efficiency, engagement, and risk-smart execution over time. Responsibilities Execute Reddit content plans by drafting, editing, formatting, and publishing posts, and community resources (e.g., guides/wikis) that reflect Vanguard’s voice, tone, and values. Monitor subreddit conversations and trends to identify engagement opportunities and emerging themes, then translate them into content ideas and community participation that adds value. Operate as a hands-on content contributor: build and maintain a steady pipeline of ready-to-publish content, maintain cadence, and ensure content is accurate, clear, and on-brand. Coordinate internal reviews and approvals by routing content through established workflows, integrating feedback quickly, and helping ensure timely, compliant publishing. Curate and amplify relevant content when it supports community value and Vanguard’s objectives. Build strong partner relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., communications, brand, marketing, compliance) by clarifying needs, gathering inputs, and delivering work that meets business objectives. Apply Reddit best practices (post formats, timing, and community participation norms) to strengthen visibility and engagement. Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements—such as streamlining review loops, standardizing templates, refining workflows, and documenting ‘what works’ to make execution more repeatable. Support consistency and governance by following policies and guidelines, and raising risks early; partner with governance/compliance stakeholders as needed in a regulated environment. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in social media content creation, community management, or social media strategy (with clear hands-on execution examples). Strong writing and editing skills, with a sharp feel for tone, clarity, and audience fit. Comfort operating in a regulated environment, balancing responsiveness with compliance and reputational considerations. Ability to manage work largely independently, making sound day-to-day decisions and proactively surfacing options/solutions when challenges arise. Strong collaboration skills: you build trust, take feedback well, and deliver against stakeholder needs without requiring heavy oversight. Familiarity with social media management and/or listening tools (e.g., Khoros, Meltwater, Talkwalker, or similar). Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
