OVERVIEW:

Trillium Health Partners (THP) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the HealthWorks project team within Capital Planning and Redevelopment to support THP’s mission to build a new kind of health care for a healthier community. This role will provide project management expertise, controls and integration to organizational infrastructure projects. More information on THP’s HealthWorks projects can be found:

Jointly reporting to the Associate Vice-Presidents HealthWorks, the Senior Project Manager will work closely with subject matter expertise across both M-Site and Q-Site HealthWorks projects to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively. This role will use knowledge and understanding of the business environment to work collaboratively with all members of the team and executive leadership to plan, implement and monitor progress. This role will take a key role in identifying opportunities, risks or issues, while developing solutions and controls to ensure project success.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree required; business, life sciences, health informatics or related discipline preferred
  • Masters degree in public administration, business administration, healthcare administration or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in project management in healthcare environments such as hospitals, government or private sector required
  • Experience working with the Ontario Ministry of Health’s capital planning process and/or Infrastructure Ontario’s AFP/P3 framework is considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of the hospital’s strategic plan
  • Strong leadership, adaptability, interpersonal and collaboration skills are essential for this role, including the ability to build strong relationships
  • Experience with project management processes and best practices
  • Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs of senior leaders
  • Demonstrated effectiveness at leading and working with teams, including supporting collaborative design of products with cross-functional groups
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective and comprehensive reports and presentations for various audiences, including executives, administrators and cliniciansThis position is a hybrid work model with a mix of work from home and on-site work (and/or work at off-site partner locations)

Responsibilities
  • Lead and/or support elements of project approach and plan development, as well as implementing necessary processes and practices to ensure the hospital is delivering project objectives and successfully achieving the project’s goals
  • Lead and/or support the development of materials, such as reports, briefing notes, requests for proposals, presentations, data analyses and communications for the project(s)
  • Work closely with various HealthWorks projects teams, and Project Control Office, to ensure seamless coordination of materials requiring governance reviews and approvals
  • Monitor and report on progress, problems and solutions of the project to all stakeholders and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Engage with external project supports and act as a key point of contact for coordination of activities
  • Build trusted relationships with partners and subject matter experts to advance key initiatives
  • Develop and implement processes (including establishing appropriate governance structures) to oversee the project’s deliverables
  • Engage and communicate with stakeholders on an ongoing basis and ensure changing resource and project requirements are met and understood
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including regional, provincial and/or private sector partners to ensure the successful completion of project deliverables
  • Ensure ongoing integrated risk identification, evaluation, and monitoring, particularly as related to integration and change management
