PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of data content and data management capabilities to a business units or functional area. Responsible for the development and on-going management of data assets or solutions aligned to those same business units and functional areas.
Position will be fully remote only to be filled at East Coast locations as indicated in posting

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Undergraduate degree in either computer science, analytics, data engineering, finance, or equivalent degree
2. At least 10 years of experience driving data execution, including a combination of the following: data engineering, software delivery, business intelligence and reporting, and/or master and reference data management
3. Expert critical thinking skills and being able to define detailed strategies
4. At least 5 years of experience in financial services industry
5. Experience in meeting regulatory obligations and operating in a highly regulatory environment
6. Experience in leading a high performing team, including identifying and recruiting talent, managing performance, and making decisions about resource allocations according to predefined budgets, for full-time and contract resources across US and non-US locations
7. Experience in collaborating with business units or functional areas on delivery priorities and timelines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, analytics, engineering, finance, or equivalent degree
  2. Knowledge of data architecture, solution architecture and / or designing enterprise business processes
  3. Skills demonstrated in data engineering, computer engineering, business intelligence and report delivery, data transformation, and regulatory program delivery
  4. Skills demonstrated in risk management
  5. Expert in solution designs based upon business requirements
  6. Experience in building financial services technology cloud strategies

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for ensuring alignment to a data strategy and roadmap based on objectives and priorities for aligned business units.
2. Align with business units to support teams to deliver data solutions that meet business requirements and coordinate across technology service providers as needed.
3. Ensure implementation and adherence to data governance, data architecture, cyber security, and other technology standards across applications within the portfolio.
4. Responsible for the successful closure of data and analytics audit issues, regulatory issues self-identified issues and other data deficiencies.
5. Ensure the alignment with business units or functional areas, support of innovation and driving towards to the target-state data technologies.
6. Responsible for building out and managing a data team, including the data engineers, data analysts, and change management resources, including full-time and contract resources in a geographically dispersed environment.
7. Responsible for the successful management of projects and budgets and ensuring identified priorities are delivered within a defined period.
