Description The Referral Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the referral and authorization process for the practice and serves as a liaison between the patient/family, physician, treatment team and payor to ensure quality services are being provided and patient needs are met. Coordinates and tracks all outside appointments, authorizations and referrals as requested by the practice physician(s) for outside diagnostic testing, specialty provider referrals and/or services. May review the work of other specialists and provides guidance and training. Qualifications Education• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CPP Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required• Associate's Degree preferred Experience• 4 years of healthcare clerical/administrative support experience required• Prior experience with referrals and authorizations required Disclaimers • Pay ranges listed are an estimate and subject to change.• If any bonuses are noted, they are only applicable to external hires meeting criteria.
