One of the UK’s most inspiring and best known faith-based organisations, The Salvation Army, is looking for an empathetic Referrals Officer to play an important referrals response role as part of a vital new contract.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Salvation Army has been appointed to the Government’s new Modern Slavery Victim Care Contract to manage the support of adult victims of modern slavery in England and Wales. Through this new and extended contract, which runs for an initial five-year period, we and our specialist partners can build on expertise developed from helping more than 12,000 adult victims of modern slavery and human trafficking since July 2011
Responding to referrals by First Responders to our free, confidential 24 hour Modern Slavery Referral Line in order to support adult potential victims of modern slavery is the challenge that awaits you here. Indeed, we’ll count on you to use your knowledge, skills and experience to accurately assess eligibility for support and undertake safeguarding risk and needs-based assessments on a case by case basis. Liaising with relevant interested parties to identify safe and appropriate initial, and subsequent, placements in England and Wales and manage all aspects of each referral in line with operational guidance and procedures will be important too. And, when it comes to completing client records and other relevant service documentation, maintain a case management system or providing cover for the Contracts Administrator, again, we’ll rely on you to deliver.
