THE FOLLOWING AREAS WILL BE HIGHLY REGARDED:

Current forklift qualification (essential)
Previous experience in molten metal processes.
Experience in control room operation and exposure to DCS or SCADA control systems
Aptitude for mechanical equipment operation, troubleshooting and solution seeking skills
Ability to tolerate physically demanding work, as well as some shift work
High level of computer literacy.
You will also possess a proactive approach to safety, sound communication and interpersonal skills, as well as high attention to detail. You will have a self-starting attitude and be able to accept individual responsibility within a small work team.
This position is residentially based in Townsville and requires you to work a roster of 12hr shifts with 3 days on, 4 days off. Occasionally you may be required to be flexible in terms of work times and rosters.
