Essential Skills & Abilities Demonstrate advanced comprehension of ophthalmic assistant skills as outlined by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) Possess a basic understanding of optics and the ability to perform refractometry Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of optics, refraction, and contact lenses Maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy when performing diagnostic testing Demonstrate strong computer literacy and comfort working with EMR systems What You’ll Do As a Refractive Technician, you will play an important role in supporting physicians and ensuring a smooth patient experience.
